Our professional staff provide professional care in a friendly and familiar manner.

They consider each resident a member of the family and nothing makes them prouder to hear a new resident call Eastland their home. Take a moment here to get to know our staff and learn about their experience and qualifications.

Carrie Rooney

As Eastland’s Executive Director, Carrie looks forward to spending time each day with the residents who make Eastland come alive with a lifetime of wisdom and experiences.

"Enjoy the seniors! They have a lot to teach us.

For over 15 years, Carrie has dedicated her career to giving back to a generation who have already given so much. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology, a master’s in Health Care Administration and is finishing up a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Health Care Administration. She is also a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Carrie and her husband, David, are the parents of three children. Bryce is serving in the Air Force, Nolan attends high school where he plays on the baseball team and daughter Taylor is a middle school softball player.

Whether she’s serving the residents at Eastland or enjoying time with her family, Carrie has a simple philosophy that she applies to each day. “Life is too short to be anything but happy!”

The elderly need more people in health care who will advocate for them, and who can serve their needs while maintaining their dignity. I’m proud that we’re able to provide that type of care at Eastland.

Cori Barry

Residents of Eastland are in good hands thanks to Cori. She not only looks after their health care needs, she’s an active presence in their lives.

quote marksI love assisting the elderly in their day-to-day activities. I also love learning about their personal histories and hearing about their past.

Cori is a Licensed Practical Nurse with a broad background in Orthopedics, Oncology and surgery. She’s also certified in Dementia Care. While her medical expertise is critical in providing residents exceptional care, Cori also knows that sometimes a dose of fun can be just what the nurse ordered.

“I’ve even been known to break out the Karaoke machine for some last-minute entertainment,” she says.

Cori and her husband, Robert, have two children: Kailyn and Chase.
